Hotchkiss is smart, and everyone underestimates her. ![]() Then, imagine if in later games she’s still a phone contact for her expertise, but from prison, and there’s this underlying unsettling-ness to her quirks, that cheery voice merely a front for someone playing a game with you, as she says Mandy, my dear, like one might say Clarice, it takes on such a sinister sound if you think about it. The final part of the game takes place in the tower that has everything to do with her work! And getting you to deliver her things and go on wild goose chases for information is all to distract you from what’s really going on. I mean, she gains your trust, gets you to do her bidding, and she’s the one researching all the Marie Antoinette stuff in the first place. ![]() You ever think about how wild TRT would’ve been if Professor Hotchkiss was actually the culprit, like the ditzyness, the eccentricity, the never remembering your name was all just an act to keep you from suspecting her, but really she’s a James Moriarty criminal mastermind.
